About Calculator

A free online calculator with basic arithmetic and a full scientific mode — trigonometry, logarithms, powers, roots, and the constants π and e. Every calculation runs entirely in your browser; nothing is sent to a server. Your last calculations are saved locally so you can revisit or reuse any result.

Use Cases

  • Run quick arithmetic without leaving the browser or opening an app
  • Perform scientific calculations for school, engineering, or finance
  • Reuse a previous result by clicking any entry in the history
  • Calculate percentages, powers, and square roots in one place

Tips

  • Use keyboard shortcuts: numbers, + − * / for operators, Enter for =, Escape for AC, Backspace to delete
  • Switch to Scientific mode for trigonometry, logarithms, and the π and e constants
  • Trigonometric functions (sin, cos, tan) work in degrees
  • Click any history entry to load that result back into the display

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. The calculator is completely free, requires no account, and runs entirely in your browser. There are no usage limits and nothing is sent to any server.

Click the "Scientific" toggle at the top to reveal trigonometric functions (sin, cos, tan), logarithms (log, ln), square root, powers (x², xʸ), reciprocal (1/x), and the constants π and e. Trigonometric functions use degrees.

Yes. Type numbers and operators directly: + − * / for arithmetic, ^ for powers, % for percent, parentheses, Enter or = to calculate, Escape to clear everything, and Backspace to delete the last character.

Your last 10 calculations are stored locally in your browser via localStorage so you can revisit or reuse them. Click any history entry to load its result. Clearing your browser data removes the history.

Dividing by zero shows "Error" on the display. Press AC to reset and start a new calculation.

Results are computed with standard double-precision floating-point math and rounded to 12 significant digits. Very large or very small numbers automatically switch to scientific notation.
