About Watermark Tool

Watermarks protect your creative work by visually asserting ownership before you share images publicly, upload to stock platforms, or deliver previews to clients. An effective watermark is visible enough to deter unauthorized use but unobtrusive enough that it does not destroy the viewing experience of the image itself — a balance that depends on placement, opacity, size, and whether you choose a text-based or logo-based watermark.

Our Watermark Tool processes up to 20 images simultaneously in your browser using the Canvas API, applying consistent watermark settings across the entire batch. Use text-based watermarks (your name, copyright notice, website URL) with full control over font, size, and color — or upload a PNG logo with transparent background for brand-logo watermarking. Position controls let you place the watermark in any corner, centered, or tiled across the entire image.

Tile mode is particularly effective for high-value images: covering the entire frame with a repeating watermark pattern at reduced opacity makes the watermark essentially impossible to crop out while still showing the image. All processing runs locally — your original images are never uploaded to any server, maintaining complete privacy for client previews or unreleased work.

How to Use Watermark Tool

  1. 1Click "Add Images" and select up to 20 photos to watermark at once.
  2. 2Choose between Text watermark (type your name or copyright notice) or Logo (upload a PNG).
  3. 3Set the watermark position — corner, centered, or Tile mode to cover the full image.
  4. 4Adjust opacity (40–60% is typically best), size, and padding using the sliders.
  5. 5Preview the watermark on one of the uploaded images before processing all files.
  6. 6Click "Apply to All" and download the watermarked images as a ZIP archive.

Use Cases

  • Protect portfolio or stock photos before sharing online or sending previews to clients
  • Brand product images in bulk with your logo before publishing to an e-commerce store
  • Add a copyright notice to photos before posting them to social media
  • Apply tiled watermarks to sensitive or high-value images to prevent unauthorized cropping
  • Watermark a batch of event photos before delivering them to clients as proofs
  • Add a draft or confidential text overlay to document images shared for review

Tips

  • Use a PNG logo with a transparent background for the cleanest, most professional results
  • Set opacity between 40–60% for a professional look that is visible but non-intrusive
  • Tile mode creates a repeating pattern that is much harder to crop or clone-stamp out
  • Bottom-right corner is the most common and expected watermark position in photography
  • White text with a slight dark shadow works on most image backgrounds without visibility issues
  • Test the watermark preview on your lightest and darkest images to ensure contrast is sufficient

Tile mode repeats the watermark across the entire image in a grid pattern, making it much harder to crop out.
